If you're looking to get your email onto your Blackberry - there
are two options - Blackberry Enterprise Server for larger scale
installations and NotifySync. Blackberry Enterprise Server
comes in two varieties - for smaller businesses, the Express
version is offer for free by RIM and has only
minor limitations beyond its restriction to 30 devices or less.
Beyond this, we can upgrade users to the full Blackberry Enterprise
Server at any time.
Blackberry Enterprise Server Express
BES Express as it is known is provided as a free download. We
have experience deploying the solution with the key benefits being
Active Sync like functionality such as synchronised calendar and
contacts between handset and Exchange/Outlook.
Blackberry Enterprise Server
For larger enterprise deployments, the full Blackberry
Enterprise removes the device limit and provides more flexible
deployment options.
Notify Sync
NotifySync is a fully licensed Microsoft ActiveSync
solution for BlackBerry devices. This means you can fully
synchronise directly with mail servers supporting
and using Microsoft ActiveSync protocols, including Exchange,
Kerio and Zimbra. NotifySync is compatible alongside the BlackBerry
Internet Service (BIS), BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) as well
as working with TCP and WIFI connectivity where supported by device
and mobile network provider data plan. In addition to
providing over-the-air BlackBerry Activesync
capabilities, NotifySync also provides secure wireless
email and PIM sychronisation (Contacts, Calendars and Tasks),
Meeting Requests and Global Address Look Up capability.
