Being an independent supplier and installer, aFinite are not tied to a particular brand enabling us to choose the right equipment for you and not push you into buying something you do not need or want.
aFinite can build and install PCs to your specification, but for general office use, we recommend equipment from major manufacturers such as HP, IBM and Dell because of the extensive testing, certification and support provided with their equipment. We do not believe in selling cheap, unbranded or unknown branded pre-assembled machines as they will only cause problems in the future.
As well as being a Microsoft Registered Partner, aFinite also have considerable expertise with Linux in business environments. We have found Linux integrates very well with networks of all sizes to providing a number of useful services including:
- Centralised file storage
- Email serving - Incoming and outgoing SMTP with POP3 and IMAP clients
- Email virus and spam filtering using ClamAV and MailScanner together with Exim and Sendmail
- Remote support and network monitoring facilities using SSH, MRTG, and SmokePing
