Email Failover and Disaster Mitigation
You may host your own email through Exchange Server or other
email platforms, but have you considered what would happen to your
email should you be unable to receive them for a period of time?
aFinite are able to provide a backup mail exchanger service which
accepts your email on your behalf if your primary mailservers are
unavailable for any reason. This email is then queued up and can be
delivered either automatically or upon request once your are
reconnected and backup and running.
DNS Hosting
aFinite provide professionally managed DNS services for a large
number of our clients. This means we provide backup mail
exchangers, additional DNS servers and DNS failover services.
Backup mail exchangers mean that if your email server is down,
our backup will accept your email and queue it for delivery until
your server is available again. This sort of service is used less
and less with the advent of cloud based email filtering solutions,
but can still be a very useful facility for some clients.
Additional DNS servers mean that our clients DNS records are
hosted in at least two continents on geographically separate
networks. This means that should there be an outage, it is highly
unlikely to affect every DNS server listed for the domain.
Domain Names
aFinite register and manage domain names for our clients,
ensuring names are renewed as necessary and our clients can rest
assured and ignore fraudulent renewal requests which so many have
been foolish enough to respond to.
